Rescue
Diver
The Course
The P.A.D.I.
Rescue Diver Course covers the theory and practical skills
necessary to assess and cope with actual and potential rescue
situations. The course is demanding, though realistic in its
conduct, content and approach. Interaction, discussion,
variety and flexibility is encouraged during skill training.
Classroom instruction also stresses the application of
information to the students' particular needs and
environment, as well as other areas, Self Rescue, Dive
Stress, Equipment, Diving First - Aid and Emergency
Management. Through this course the student will come to
appreciate and understand the importance such training has on
the safety of others and on the diving industry as a whole.
Although the experience of this course is designed to be
enjoyable, the nature and context in which such training may
be used, is quite serious; and as in the training in similar
fields of emergency care, the prime objective is, hopefully,
to prevent the needs for it's use.
The P.A.D.I.
Rescue Diver Course is designed to develop the necessary
knowledge and skills for individuals to effectively preform
diver rescues and assists, manage diving accident situations,
render proper first - aid and qualify for P.A.D.I. Divemaster
training.
